Borinquen Gallo

Burning in Water is pleased to re-exhibit Borinquen Gallo: Like a Jungle Orchid for a Lovestruck Bee in San Francisco. The exhibition featured a Gallo's series of sculptures and a large-scale, immersive installation fashioned from intricately reconstituted street materials, such as yellow and red “caution” tape, construction tarps, garbage bags, discarded hub-caps and debris netting. The work recaptiulated in San Francisco, in a larger installation, forces the viewer to question our world's dependence on plastic.
